MINISTRIES

CHURCH SCHOOL

The Church School is led by Cooper Rowe, Superintendent who organizes the curriculum for Sunday classes that convene following Holy Communion.  The classes include: Pre-school, 1st and 2nd Grades, 3rd and 4th Grades, Junior Class (pre-teens) and Teen (High School) Class.

Teen Society of Orthodox Youth (SOYO)

Teens, ages 12-19 organize parish activities and are involved in Diocesan and Archdiocesan Conferences and Retreats.  The group’s purpose is to integrate each young person fully into the total life of the Church.  The teens are led by a Youth Director, Cooper Rowe, who is also their Sunday Church School instructor.  

Church Choir

Members of the choir are volunteers who participate in the liturgical services and chanting in the church.  The parish Choir Director is the Reader Art (John) Danks, assisted by the Reader William (Athanasius) Grundler.

YOUNG ADULTS

 

The Young Adults of our parish plan and organize service activities in the church and gather for fellowship in social events throughout the year.

Young parents’ ministry

The Young Parents’ Ministry builds bonds of fellowship among young parents in prayer, worship and by working together.  One of their goals is to also learn about raising children as children and not as adults in the church and to provide the guidance needed during church services.

ORGANIZATIONS

order of st. ignatius

The Order of St. Ignatius of Antioch is a fellowship of clergy and laity who are committed to supporting the work of the Archdiocese and its ministries through generous financial contributions. Fulfilling one's annual support of their local parish membership is a prerequisite.

THE Antiochian women

 A sisterhood, established in 1974 by Metropolitan PHILIP to serve the parish needs but also to provide charitable service to the church community and beyond.  The Antiochian Women also hold regular spiritual retreats for the women of our parishes.

PARISH COUNCIL

The Parish Council consists of nine parishioners who serve a three-year term, elected by the membership of the church each year.  In addition, three Council members are appointed by the Pastor and Chair to serve a one-year term.  Ex-officio voting members of the Council include: the Choir Director, Church School Superintendent and President of the Antiochian Women.  The Parish Council is responsible for the fiscal management of the parish and with the Pastor, assumes the administrative duties of the church.
